love

Love is one of those crazy things that I am sure is on a lot of your minds at the moment. How could it not? Prom is coming up soon and it's springtime! The time when young mens fantasies turn to love. At least, that's what all the poets say. I don't know how that's really different than any other time. While to some this may appear as I am ( Read more... )

"in the name of love, one night in the name of love"

... you're not a girl, so you wouldn't get hte moulin rouge reference. but love doesn't mean fantasies dissapear. in fact, the way i see it, love is really just a chance to live out fantasies at htis age. i hope you experiance love sometime soon. its really different at this age than it is for any other age. because so much unsure, and thats what makes it fun. at least, i think so.

but screw "love". worry about fun for now. thats whats important. springtime and prom = funtime and prom. lol i'm so deep i know. don't worry about prom. its supposed to be fun, so find yourself someone to go with that you KNOW you'd have a good time with, and all other worries dissapear.

... sorry this was so long.

don't worry about it. take as much space as you need. I am not worried about love at all. I'm sure I will get my chance. I am not thinking about love+the prom, but more like love & the prom. Just made me think of it. I actually am taking someone to prom as friends which will make it a lot more fun. I've had dates to dances before and "dates" and as "friends" and friends is a lot more fun.

i don't think that most highschoolers are really capable of understanding what love really is. they get a boyfriend/girlfriend and fool around and hang out and think that they're in love, and thats fine. but later in life, i think, they'll find what love really is and realize that what happened in highschool wasn't real love but a puppy love of sorts.
so i've never been in love with someone. i've loved people for who they are and what they stand for. but not in love.
there's a difference in my mind.

you've definetly got a good point. I know it's not something to judge your life by, but on TV and in some movies, saying "I love you" is always this huge thing. But in high school it seems to just come immediately with just going out with someone. And you also definetly have a point with the other thing you are saying. you can love someone and you can be in love with someone. Sometimes you can be both, but you don't always have to be.
