I always have these dreams about you being next to me.
Holding me tightly in your arms, saying you would never leave.
And that I’m the only person you love.
But these are dreams.
When I was in class, my professor said that,
“Dream is a reality.”
But he only meant it about the whole being of a dream and not the actual dream itself.
And I wished he meant the dream itself was a reality.
But if my dreams were reality wouldn’t I…
…be the one you’re kissing so passionately right now?
…be the one beside you at night holding you until you fall asleep?
…be the one who you say ‘I love you’ too?
Dreams are the only things that keep me from going insane.
It’s the only place I can have things go my way.
It’s a place where I can be selfish and have you all to myself.
And he won’t be around to ruin it.
Every time I wake up I find myself facing this reality.
A sad but actual truth that I have to get over someday.
And I hope sometime soon, I’ll understand why…
