FAQ
Objective:
- Drabbles or one-shots, it doesn't matter. Write what you want to write.
- Submit as many times as you would like during the month. If you would like to write for a prompt that has already passed, feel free to do so. Simply tag your entry as the month it belongs to.
- Monday noon on the first of each month will signal each new Quote prompt.
- Quotes will be from famous people, various cartoons, books, or manga. All forms of media, in fact, will be open to having a sentence or two taken for the purpose of getting those creative juices going.
- Since some authors thrive on constructive criticism but others prefer to stay away from concrit, please be considerate of your fellow author's desires. If you are an author and you would appreciate concrit, put it in the entry warning that you would be open to it. However, do not get upset if what you hear isn't what you wanted. If you are a reader, respect the author's choice not to hear concrit. This is about stretching the gray matter, and not everyone is ready to advance from warm-ups to marathons.
- This community will not vote. This isn't about winning, but about enjoying the writing process while delving into the IY-verse. Still, since some work better for a bit of incentive, each drabble comes with its own banner for those who participate in that month's Quote prompt.
RULES- Absolutely no censure for pairing of choice OR rating will be allowed.
- Since this is an 'open' community, all fics rated R or higher need to be friend-locked.
- You do not have to include the monthly prompt in the story in any way. It is completely up to the author's discretion how they incorporate the idea. The weekly prompts need to be included exactly as is somewhere in the story.
