Kagome considered herself lucky for all the things she had been able to learn in the modern era. She realized her time was a wonderful place to live in and there was so much for her to learn in school. Wanting to make the most of her opportunities she always returned to her time to study and take her tests. She shared what she learned with Sango, Miroku, InuYasha and Shippou whenever she could. Even though she pretended to not pay attention, she remembered every tale her grandfather had told her and she had found these tales incredibly useful when she was in the feudal era. Many of the recipes her mother taught her she had been able to modify for open flame and shared them with her friends when she traveled to the past. The games she played with her brother kept the group busy during their long journeys across the country.

The feudal era had so much to offer her as well. She had learned archery, how to be strong, and about her own inner strength. Kaede taught her about medicinal herbs and her duties as a miko. She learned about spiritualism from Miroku, and how to be a warrior from Sango. Shippou kept Kagome young and helped her learn about responsibility. He also taught her a deeper respect for her mother and her efforts in raising her and Souta. She had learned so much from InuYasha she couldn’t begin to list it all, the good and the bad.

If Kagome had to chose a time to live in she didn’t think she could. She considered both eras her home but for different reasons. Both sides held her family but different types. She loved people in both times but in different ways. She had learnt so much more than what school had to offer her and she felt lucky to have been able to learn it the way she had.
