The Diary of Johnny Castaway, Pt 2

Aug 30, 2007 23:46

A month has passed. The days and nights seem to take hours, but I continue to have hope for leaving my small home away from home. My days have devolved into a routine of lighting fires, fishing and making sandcastles.

I wish to remain positive, but I simply cannot make a good sandclastle. They always seem to cave in on me...

A monkey (I've named him Robert) living in the tree above my head tried attacking me with a coconut. After chasing him, I decided to work a bit on a makeshift raft. Do you ever have the feeling that you are being watched? It would seem I long too much for my lost love. I can see her watching me over my shoulder whilst I build. Perhaps the lack of water has made me delerious. Still, the raft may be my ticket off of this island.

I had my first octopus to eat today. My gosh, I understand why the Japanese love this animal!
