Okay, so you all know I got the Cavalier not too long ago, and that was going to be my "Project" vehicle. Made a CarDomain website and everything. Well, all that has changed now. I no longer have the Cavalier in my possession. (Can't say I don't own it because it's under my name still.) I now own my mother's vehicle. "Why?" you ask? Well, for one, I have always been jealous of my mother ever since she got the car. I have wanted it since the day she came home with it. And lone behold, IT'S MINE! Rather interesting story. It all started with a conversation about her going to sell it. She needed a more reliable winter car, and something that got a little more decent gas mileage. (I assume she's got a lead foot because any vehicle can be good on gas if you drive it nicely.) Anywho, I offered to her, in hopes of salvaging that car of hers to keep it in the family, to trade vehicles with her. She actually jumped at that, which caught me off guard. And you know, this is going to pay off in the end... Quite literally. I took out the loan for the Cavvy for a 4 year loan, (Approx. $4,900/$146.72 a month) Which meant that I would have to pay for it for the whole duration. The loan on her car is going to be paid off in 1 years' time. She offered that she'll make the final payments on her car, and I would continue paying up the Cavalier for one year, then she would sell me her car for $1.00 (Which means that tax/title/registration, at least in WI, is gonna be cheap) and I would sell her the Cavalier for the remaining balance. How cool is that? So instead of waiting 4 years to own a fully paid off car, I will have one in 1 year. Anywho, look out for me, I'll be in a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am SE, cherry red, with the sport package. ((170 HP stock. *drool*)) Hehe. I'll post up a couple of pics once I get'em. ^.^
