Looking for a fic
The fic that I'm looking for, I know, will probably be very old. Possibly around 2002 - 2006, though I'm not a hundred percent sure, even though I do remember reading it when I around 15. It's been on my mind for several days now, and I feel that it may be lost. I do not remember the name nor the author, which I can say, makes this even harder to find.
Roughly, it is a Humor-filled with a bit of romance Modern AU fic, centering around Inuyasha/Kagome.
From what I remember, Kagome has terrible luck. For example, she's taking a cold bath in the small brook behind the cabin and a tree falls down near her. When she is fired from her job (I think), she slams the door shut and the whole glass panel of the building shatters.
She kidnaps Inuyasha for ransom (at the behest of Inuyasha), with a gun to his head and takes him out to the country, where there is a cabin that they use. Inuyasha tells her many times over that she's a horrible kidnapper and she's doing it all wrong. He's trying to get his inheritance and using Kagome as a scapegoat as well, though I think Kagome had a reason to be apart of the plan, but I'm very vague.
Sango and Miroku are trying to earn themselves back into the good graces of something supernatural, and are usually located out in the bushes, which they are also working for Kikyou, I think, to recover Inuyasha, but are also causing Kagome's "bad luck". Or they are acting as the cupids to Inuyasha and Kagome falling in love slowly, even as she is surrounded by all the bad coincidences that occur to and near her.
At one point towards the end, Miroku gets shot in the head, but he later scares the crap out of Kagome, when she starts screaming that he should have died. Kagome is arrested for kidnapping Inuyasha, but somehow she gets free and goes to Inuyasha, who had been returned to his mansion and Kikyou.
There is a bigger plot, I know it, but this is honestly all that I can remember.
