I know the fic you are looking for. The author took it off fanfiction.net and re-wrote it as an orginal story. It is now on fictionpress.com. The author is JadeWing and the story is in three parts:

Changing Dynasty
Evolving Dynasty
Dynasty Reborn

I'm not sure if the story names were the same when it was fanfiction.net. It obviously no longer has the names Inuyasha or Kagome in it, but it is the same story and when I reread it, I still picture the Inuyasha characters in it. Enjoy!

Actually, you can still read it as an InuYasha fanfiction.

^_^ You're welcome! I prefer it as a fanfic, if only because the nickname "K-Bomb" confuses me when her name begins with L.
