[MOD POST] Looking for NEW MOD
I'm looking for a new comoderator for this community. The comoderator would essentially be taking on all moderator duties. It's been quite some time (a couple of years), since I've been hugely involved in the Inuyasha fandom, and although I love the series to bits, I'm pretty much entirely out of it now. However, I've moderated this community for six years, so I'm still fond of it. As such, I want it to be in good hands, moderated by someone with the interest level that I think it deserves.
I'd prefer someone with experience in at least assisting lj-based communities as far as a moderator goes. I'm screening the comments, and I'll pick whichever member seems the most qualified to me. When you reply and express interest, please let me know briefly what kind of experience you have (you may also mention non-lj experience) as well as providing a quick statement as to why you wish to moderate inuyasha-fanfic.
These are the tasks that a new mod will definitely have to perform:
1- Approving posts. All new members are on moderated posting until they're removed. I remove members after they make their first posts. If a first post is incorrectly formatted, I reject it and tell the person why.
2- Making sure members use the proper posting format, lj-cuts, etc.
3- Making sure the posts are on-topic, i.e. about fanfic or fact checking for fanfic.
4- Just overall making sure the community is running smoothly (although it's been years since we've had to do much of anything but one through three).
And honestly, you're also welcome to do your own projects with this community. If you want to start some challenges and contests like we used to, you're welcome. I just want to say ahead of time that although I'm still leaving myself as a maintainer, this community will be yours to do with.
