25. Perdido Street Station by China Mieville
Was today's bibliogoth selection and a re-read. Liked it just as much, if not more, the second time around.
26. Alone with the Horrors by Ramsey Campbell
This is a selection of Ramsey Campbell's short stories from 1961-1991, selected by the man himself. I've been working my way through it since October. It's very, very good, but not as easy going as expected. Ramsey's gift for re-creating the utter grimness of post-war England combined with the creepiness of the stories means that there was only so much I could take at one time. He writes extremely well, and it says a lot about him that he included one of his early Lovecraft-wannabe Mythos works, something many lesser people would want to hide away forever. (Incidentally, it reads like something Lovecraft could indeed have written and Doesn't Suck).
Otherwise, haven't started my assignment yet, but have at least done most of the reading. I just haven't been able to get my brain into gear to do it. I'm pretty sure that if I can just get started, it should all start to flow eventually. I need to get used to forcing myself to do things when I'm not 100%.
