Thinking About Tsubasa...
With our month long break (AT LEAST IT'S ALMOST OVER! T_T) I've been thinking a lot about Tsubasa.
Specifially, what we've learned this year. We've learned a lot, it seems.
Since January 1st, 2008, we have learned:
Our 'Sakura' was also a clone (LOLOLOL HAPPY NEW YEAR!)
Cloney still has some feelings. Somewhere.
FWR was in Clow Country
Watanuki paid the price for Syaoran with his memories
Yuuko can't help them anymore
FWR is living inside a 'stopped time' of Clow Country
FWR and Syaoran have 'similar desires' (and/or 'similar means of getting to those desires', depending upon translation--Poor Apple-kun! T_T)
Syaoran 'was always by Sakura's side'
Syaoran got his 'time turned back' in order to be caputred and change the future
Syoaran is the son of Syaoran and Sakura Li from CCS (WHUT?!)
Syaoran first went to Clow Country when he was 7 years old because Papa told him to
R!Syaoran is actually Not!Syaoran
Not!Syaoran met R!Sakura in the ruins
Nadeshiko is actually alive and queen of Clow Country, while Fujitaka was actually king (O_o)
Not!Syaoran has an Oedipus Complex
Sakura might actually not be 'Sakura's' name (O_O)
Not!Syaoran can only stay in Clow Country for 7 days the first time
Simething shitty happened and completely screwed up Clow Country--or maybe it was just the effect of Not!Syaoran pulling a Marty McFly. o_e
And, to sum it all up: EVERYTHING WE KNEW IS A LIE. D:
Wow. I think the only other arc that even slightly compares in plot development was the Tokyo Arc, but that was epic just for BEING the arc when everything went down the shitter and this series changed from a happy happy joy joy sparkles and gay series to ANGST AND PAIN AND FIRE AND BRIMSTONE AND FIERY DEATHS WITH EYE GOUGING INVOLVED. D:
...And Celes Arc was pretty developmental, too.
Though, out of all the Tsubasa arcs, only the Tokyo, Celes, and Nihon/2nd Clow arcs were the only ones where we actually learned something vital. Wow. -_-
