Ahsoka Tano, Padawan of Anakin Skywalker, was sitting next to said master's second-in-command.
Got that?
Good.
In all actuality, the Padawan was curled up next to Rex, who had his arm around her.
A bowl of popcorn lay beside them, discarded and lonely.
Ahsoka halfheartedly watched the movie, which she supposed was very exciting, since Rex was watching it so intently. Ahsoka thought it was more interesting to watch the captain himself.
Rex took a break from watching the movie and turn to Ahsoka, who had put her head on his shoulder. The Padawan closed her eyes.
"Want me to turn it off?" he asked. She shook her head, eyes still closed. rex went back to the movie.
I'd like you to meet: Rexy! the main actor said, and Ahsoka's eyes flew open. The night guard was pointing to a big skeleton, which was immobile.
Rexy! the guy repeated, Nothing happened.
Ahsoka laughed quietly. "Rexy. Rexy."
Rex rolled his eyes, secretly happy with his new nickname. If Ahsoka wanted to call him 'Mutt' for the rest of his life, he'd let her.
Well, maybe not Mutt.
"Hey, it's better than the last show! You got, like...stuffed in a freezer and the cooked!" Ahsoka protested.
"I did not get cooked. It was a dinosaur." Rex said, drawing her closer.
Ahsoka shrugged. "Same name."
"Was the Rex in Primeval able to do this?" Rex kissed the top of her forehead. The Padawan grinned. "Nope."
"Then there's a difference." Ahsoka laid her head on Rex's chest and closed her eyes again. "Whatever you say...Rex."
