Prompt: I love all the dirty tricks
"Hey Dad, up for a game today?" Ten year old Seiji Yukimura asked, grinning a little. It was a Sunday morning, and the weather was just perfect for being outside.
Seiichi smiled. "Of course. Help your mother clean up, and then we'll go." He said, also joining in helping clean up from breakfast.
"I don't need the help, dear." Rosa said. "Go on. And take it easy on the kid."
"He'll never learn to be the best if I do." Seiichi grinned and kissed Rosa on the cheek. Rosa just shook her head.
"Come on, Dad!" Seiji said, excited. "I'm going to beat you today." Seiichi laughed.
"You think so?"
"I know so." Seiji grinned and ran out the door, his father following not far behind.
The tennis courts were fairly quiet when they arrived, but that didn't last for long. The thwack and pong of the tennis ball against racquets broke the silence. Seiji struggled occasionally to return some of his father's shots.
"That wasn't fair!" Seiji complained as his father took the final point of the set.
"All's fair in love, war, and tennis." Seiichi said, smiling a little. "You're getting better. Where'd you learn that little trick you did when you got that last point of yours?" He asked as they gathered their things.
"Where do you think?" Seiji grinned. "I saw that video of your friends' kids online. He was doing something similar."
"Thought I'd seen that before. I'll have to tell Renji to stop doing that if you're getting ideas." Seiichi smiled down at his son as they walked home.
"You wouldn't. Those guys are amusing, and they really know how to play a good game for only being my age."
"I'll agree with you there." Seiichi said.
"I want to play against them one day." Seiji said.
"One day, Seiji." Seiichi smiled. "You can take on the entire world if you really want to."
