Do you believe in love at first sight?
Oh yes! Maybe not ‘eyes meeting across a crowded room’ kind of love at first sight, but the other kind. The ‘yes, you’re who I’ve been looking for’ sort. It’s happened to me. It keeps happening.
Maybe it only happens to some people. And I don’t think that it’s really any different from the sort of love that sneaks up on you, but I do know it happens. It’s not the only kind of real love, but it can be real, it isn’t always just pretend.
Sometimes you know that this is someone you need. Maybe you don’t really know how, or why, but you know anyway. And maybe it’s because you’ve always been looking, and maybe it’s just because they make you happy without trying, but you need them. You love them.
That’s just how it happens, sometimes. Sorata fell for Arashi like that, and Arashi fell for Sorata just the same way (even if she’ll only blush and look away if you ask her). I felt that way when I met Kamui. I knew I needed him and he needed me, and even though we’ll never be anything at all like lovers we do love each other.
Sometimes you just know a person, all at once, and when that happens, well! How could you not love them?
