Hello all~
I'm new to the community, but I've loved PoT and Inukai for a long time. I've read a number of fanfiction on here now, and it's been some of the best fanfiction I've found all in one place. So, I'm going to try to be an active member to give my thanks for that.

To start with, here's a fanfiction I came up with a couple days ago and finally finished today. It's not beta-ed, because I have no beta, so hopefully you all can follow along alright. I'm also an lj mechanics n00b, so I'm sorry if my cut doesn't work or something.

Title: Don't Need Words
Author: redinjapan
Pairing: Inukai
Rating: G
Words: 507
Warning(s): None
Summary: Eiji and Momo may not hear it, but Fuji knows that Inui and Kaidoh are speaking loud and clear.

Quiet rustling sounded from the nearby bushes, four pairs of eyes seen glinting between the leaves. Eiji, Momoshiro, Oishi, and Fuji crouch behind the tall hedge, each trying to get a better view of the scene on the other side.

“Nyaa, they’ve been like that for 5 minutes now, what are they doing?” Eiji whispers impatiently.
“I don’t know, and I don’t think we should know. It’s not our business to be here and-mmphm!“ Oishi tries to scold before Eiji clamps a hand on his mouth, the other two holding him in place with a firm hand on each shoulder.

At the moment, Kaidoh and Inui were standing two feet apart, doing nothing but staring at each other. Inui had been waiting alone, when a casually strolling Momo noticed him, figuring the taller boy had been waiting for a girl he was planning on confessing to, or something along those lines, given the somewhat secluded area he had chosen to wait at. So of course, Momo had to get as many of the other Seigaku regulars he could to witness such a rare event; maybe they could use it against Inui the next time he tried to make them all drink one of his scarier Inui Juice concoctions. However, rather than a girl of any type showing up, it had been Kaidoh, who proceeded to stand in front of him without so much as a word. Five more silent minutes ticked by…

“Maybe it’s just some kind of challenge, like a staring contest.” Momo said, growing somewhat bored.

“With Inui’s glasses in the way and Kaidoh’s super-powered determination, they’ll be here all week!” Eiji joked, covering his mouth to smother his laughter.

With that, Eiji and Momo departed, with a slightly miffed Oishi tailing after them, lecturing them on the right to privacy.

One Seigaku regular stayed behind, however. Fuji, ever sharp-eyed and just as sharp-witted, had heard the whole thing, and sat quietly, slanted eyes open and interested, a knowing smile in place.

For Fuji had seen Inui’s eyebrows rise expectantly and nervously as his kouhai approached, a question plainly etched into his whole being.

And Fuji had noticed the way Kaidoh’s eyes had hardened with determination, then softened again with acceptance, his gaze finally settling on his sempai’s eyes, while a quiet hiss escaped him, plainly indicating Inui already had his answer.

And who could miss the gentle look of relief in Inui’s eyes, and the slight blush on Kaidoh’s face?

After a few moments more, the two blinked at one another, then turned and walked off towards a destination unknown, though it was most likely to train together, knowing them.

Fuji chuckled quietly to himself, whispering “Difference in proximity compared to before: 30%.” Then Fuji, too, finally made his way back to the clubhouse to change, an amused smile still playing across his face.

Others might say “I love you” or “Stay by my side”, worrying whether their meaning and intention will carry properly. But for Inui and Kaidoh, this worked just fine.

Author's Note: I was inspired to right this by all you other authers here. Basically, everyone's fanfics have been great, but it got me thinking; Inui and Kaidoh don't talk much, and fanfiction relies almost exclusively on talking, since it's all text. And so, I decided to challenge myself and write them with no words at all, those cute little shy-guys <3

Hope you all enjoyed it, feel free to critique and give advice, and here's to a fun community experience!
