My dog and I love the snow

Jan 25, 2004 16:26

I got the day off from work. Apparently icecream parlors aren't as hoppin' on blustery snow days. Instead, I took Zildjian for a walk in the snow this afternoon. He galomped around and I enjoyed being the first footsteps on the powdered sidewalk. It was so nice and quiet outside. It's been hard finding time for myself lately. Not that I don't fully enjoy spending time with my friends and the like, but I'd almost forgotten what it was like to sit in my room and listen to a good cd while drawing my cartoons and picking my nose.

Definately an experience to be treasured (the picking of one's nose, of course).

Intripose: where's he going to college?
scrawnylemur: SCC
scrawnylemur: he's hoping to transfer somewhere next year
Intripose: cool
Intripose: way to go for him
scrawnylemur: what're your plans?
Intripose: well, I thought I'd watch harry potter and play with my clay
Intripose: OOoh, for life? I dunno
scrawnylemur: heh
scrawnylemur: i'm sure you'll do much cool in the insuing years

An update on life:

I turned nineteen in the course of the last few weeks. I find that I'm afraid to ride my bike without a helmet now (something I should have bought eons ago), my not being on my parents insurance and all...but I still do it because I'm partially retarded. The lack of insurance, however, has not hindered any travel plans.

Mine and Anna's European plans for the summer are quickly growing wings. Soon we'll have passport in our hands and on a plane to Paris faster than you can say "osteoporosis."

And in March, Andy and I are going to seattle where I've got an interview or two at a few colleges... but even though there are a few special "connections" as it were, in Seattle, I don't really know if that's where I want to go to school. Who knows, who cares. I think I want to be a cartoonist.

I'm just having a nice time right now and I have lots to look forward to, lots on my plate, blah blah blah, I hope this journal post finds you as it left me, happy and in good health.

phew, that was long.

love,
Hannah
