I will in fact be at the Nike Sports Lounge in Hilliard this Friday night. I will be going there right after work at about 8:30ish... and I could maybe do without the pointing but do expect plenty of laughter.. just not at my singing... *blink*
I am feeling a little better about this whole turning 30 thing, I think. I had a nice talk with my mommy this past weekend that helped a bit. I also got some much needed retail therapy after work today and found some really cute stuff. I went to Kohl's first and left with only one lacey, pink top and one flirty, black skirt after looking at damn near every rack in the place and trying on about 10 things. I hardly ever find anything there in my size that isn't either too long (they are apparently fervently opposed to petite AND plus size clothing) or too couch upholstery-like. Yeah, fat-girl clothes suck, generally speaking. I left there just as they were closing and decided to go next door to Meijer and wouldn't you know it, I should have just went there instead. I spent about 75 bucks and I'll probably hear about it tomorrow but I got two awesome asian-style tops, a pair of cute ass jeans that were originally $69 and I paid $10 (yay!), and a new pair of pointy-toed, black sling backs, and a new bra! Oh yeah, and some black gauchos, which I once swore I would never wear because they reminded me too much of culottes from back in the day. Some things just shouldn't come back in style, but I have to say, they looked really cute with one of the tops I tried them on with so I gave in.
All in all, a good day today. Let's hope the trend continues for my B-day tomorrow!
