I've never left from here, the imprint of myself on the electronic ground. Wet Earth, soft, and deep grooved foot print on the sand. I'm around. I'm in a place that breathes of life, where sun is ever plenty, and the land is flowing of milk and honey. It's pleasant and full of life, walking passersby simply living their lives.
At work, I'm behind a station, being thrown different challenges that I revel in triumph. The general demeanor of the floor look with glistening eyes at a man who wheels himself several miles to work everyday, knowing that any day, the wheels will eventually stop turning. No one knows, but I continue to give hope for the better. I believe in what I'm doing to be great and wondrous.
I'm pleased to announce that I've done the impossible, in the world of keystrokes, analyzing code and combating problems. I'm working with something that will please the general few who doubt that the future is here. I'm working with something I love, and that's technology.
The place is not without it's drama. There's a leak, a mole riding the stream of information, but doing it under the confines of the rules. A creature with its own story and a story continued from the dark of my shadow, still beating from the pulse of a different life. In actuality, I am alone in a crowd of people but pleased to be part of this life raft, these huddled masses that are incredible in their own ways.
I am once again enamored by life. Think not that I have abandoned you. I am merely working my butt off and living each day as my last. The sun eventually sets, and the moon shall always shine. The stars are only shedding their light on us now, and I am merely here, with my foot in electronic sand.
