So, I'm a bit pissed of at my landlord.
I'm paying extra rent each month to not have to pay anything for two months over summer, when I don't recieve money for going to school. Now I want to terminate my lease and I'll then have three months before I can move. That means that I'll pay last rent in May, which will cover June and then I'll be done. That leaves the two rent "free" months after the ocntract is up, which according to me means that I should get the money I've paid for those months back. Seeing as I pay in advance to not have to pay, if I then don't live there, I shouldn't have to loose that money. Or am I wrong about this?
They haven't said I can't get money back, they just tried to tell me that I couldn't move the "free" months, which yes, I did know that, and that wasn't what I asked. I emailed back and really clarified what I meant, and now they're ignoring me. Not amused at all :/
