(no subject)
Summer vacation has already made me lazy. There's a bunch of stuff I should do before I leave for Chicago on Tuesday (such as fold laundry before I get more to fold tomorrow) but I really ahve no energy for it. Mostly all I want to do is stay in bed and read fic all day long, but that is not happening. Today I was coerced into going to visit a friend a few hours away, and as much as I didn't feel like going it ended up being a good time. We walked around town for a few hours, talking and eating ice cream, and then apparently there was a pride parade today so we joined in on that one for a while as well. Unfortunately the day is ending with me having an insane headache.
I'm getting very excited to travel, though. Chicago in general, and especially Panic! on Wednesday. And sure, I'm excited to see my sister and the kids, but for right now, as bad as it sounds, I'm more excited about the concert. I can get really excited after instead. Maybe a good way to keep post-concert-depression at bay? I have a feeling it will be worse this time since I don't know when I'll get to see them live again.
Other nice concert news, Empires at Taste och Chicago on June 25th! I'm so happy I'll get a chance to see them live this summer. Sad concert news is that I wanted to go to the Blink/My Chemical Romance date in Chicago in August but I can't since I need a car to get to that venue so I can't go. Also wanted to see The Damned Things in August too, but since you have to ship the tickets to your billing address, I can't get tickets. It's really frustrating, and I don't see why you shouldn't be able to have a different shipping address. But I'm gonna focus on the bands I actually do get to see.
