So here we go. It's time to get back on the acting horse. I've got an audition this Saturday afternoon with Journeyman Theatre for "The Boys Next Door" for the part of Norman. Had an audition for them last fall, but didn't get the part, though the director, Deborah Kirby, told me at the time, she really liked my work and was putting me on the top of her list for future shows. She called me last week for an audition for this one.

I've put in for an audition with Wit Theatre for their improv ensemble next Saturday the 25th. Could be interesting to get involved with these guys.

I've also got some feelers out for information from a group putting together the following:

ARTISTIC OPPORTUNITY!

INFORMATIONAL MEETING
FOR INTERESTED THEATER ARTISTS

JUNE 20, 2005
Playbill 7PM

DO YOU LOVE politics? HATE politics?

What about soapboxes? Or pundits? Would you shut them up or join in? For
that matter, how does DC theater, overall, contribute to the nation's
political dialogue? If you have ever been interested in current events
and national issues, or wanted to artistically respond to our political
culture, or just felt your work can speak more...

Then join EXTREME EXCHANGE.

Write a new play in 10 days for the innovative X-Play series, present a
reading, or just be there! This unique forum for DC theater
professionals and audiences looks for the honest dialogue missing from
today's politics and media. Future editions will focus on different
national themes, allowing artists to find their role in the public
conversation. Washington Edition #1 features different perspectives on
the wars Americans fight at home and abroad. Events include:
staged readings of plays by America's most exciting young writers, the
innovative X-PLAYS by local writers, discussions of questions raised by
each play, and a Brainstorm Reception to discuss a long-term place for
politics on DC's stages.
