Enough.

It started with Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton and Britney Spears.

The recent obsession with famous "up-skirt" shots of woman seems to be a priority for the paparazzi. I'm not really sure what makes me sick more: The fact that people actually pay for shots like these, or the fact that the papparazzi feel obligated to take them. Their latest victim is Emma Watson at her 18th Birthday party. There are maybe 3 shots where she is actually smiling- the rest she looks scared, withdrawn, sad...its almost symbolic for the paparazzi to be at a place where a young starlet enters adulthood.

I was excited to see Emma looking absolutley fabulous on her 18th. Her short black dress, her styled hair and her make-up all done perfectly. It was like watching my baby sister grow up before my eyes. She looked amazing - until I came across the picture that made me nearly throw my laptop across the room. I suppose I should be thankful that she was sort of wearing underwear. But I couldn't help feel my face turn red and that sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach...I swore I would respect Emma's privacy. My embarassment turned into anger. Why would they do this? Why would they take advantage of such a young starlet who by no means invites the paparazzi or entices them into her life?

As I bounced from forum to forum, her birthday photos where everywhere. Discussions where brewing about her 'panty-flash' and again I felt that sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach. I'm sure we all want to see Emma looking glamorous, but surely these types of pictures cannot be meant for us? I can only imagine Emma's reaction when she sees the price of her fame splashed everywhere. Embarassment, betrayal, violation of her privacy...and I am no better for seeing that picture.

I'm sorry Emma.
