After this week at work, I am VERY VERY grateful for this long weekend! I plan to do nothing of value. It should be great.
This afternoon, I discovered a copy of Ocean's Eleven on sale for $7. It is now mine. I recall seeing the movie on tv and enjoying it somewhat. Of course, I was watching it in fragments. I ought to have the chance to watch it from start to end this weekend and hopefully, I will enjoy it as much or more. If nothing else, watching Danny and Rusty (and Linus) be ambiguous at each other ought to be entertaining as all hell.
I am also feeling the need to catch up with Doctor Who and Torchwood. Haven't seen the last couple of seasons of Doctor Who and really haven't seen any of Torchwood (beyond bits of episodes here and there) but have sufficiently spoiled myself to become interested. I'm spoiled more for DH than TW, though.
franzi, you said that you'd seen Torchwood and liked it? For the moment, I am busily seeking out fic. Been a while since I went looking in that fandom, though, so I don't really know what names to look up. And since most of my current interests are far from canon (by which I mean that I wanna see Jack & 10 on screen together, damn it!), it can be a bit tricky to find stuff.
(And yes, I am aware - at least in part - of how season 3 of DW ends. I'm sure I will love it to pieces. I just don't want it to end THERE, is all.)
Oh! And while I'm thinking of it... Does anyone reading this know how to translate English into Latin? (I admit, I'm thinking primarily of
wisclassic here but if anyone else knows, feel free to pipe up!) A student of mine asked me if I could translate a phrase for him and I said I'd see if I could get one of my more educated friends to help out. ^_~
