I'm having a Squill moment, so things I love:
Guard.
I always just feel so much better after and even during Guard. However, we have three more practices till our first show and we have only half the show done and a flag phrase. So Markus is going to be ROUGH on us tomorrow.
Frostwire.
I LOVE FREE MUSIC. My friend Zach, who looks like he ought to be really short but isn't (he's one of those kids who's scrawny and looks much younger than they are) told me about it, so I downloaded it, and it means free music!
Speaking of which, DAMMIT, DUCKY, YOU GOT ME HOOKED ON VANESSA CARLTON.
Knitting.
I haven't really been knitting much since Winter Break, since I don't have much time... but I just did some knitting today and I felt much better.
Writing. I haven't had much inspiration lately, so the community I joined (the one prompting all the little writing-lets) was really a godsend. It kinda surprised me the things I could pull out without prior inspiration.
Now for the writing:
Feel the abyss.
They're standing, two white blotches in the darkness, and they're facing each other. They're always watching each other.
Like statues, two inhuman marble gods, their faces carved and perfect, blank, silent, aware. On tall white pillars they are standing, and they are tied together, one hand reaching to one hand, chained.
They're playing a game, cat and mouse, spider and the fly, but which is which they don't know, and they're playing a game where they can't look away.
Like an animal and its mirror they stare at each other, unblinking, endlessly. Like a shapeless clay golem they feel their course before them.
They don't move.
They're fascinated with each other.
They're both still as statues, animated as the sparrow being chased by the hawk, and they're both empty.
They're both empty.
~End~
Guess who that was about?
