Wintersmith and Charlotte's Web

I was doing a litle websurfing the other day and looked up some stuff about Wintersmith, the new Nac Mac Feegle book. (Though I really think the NMF books are just an extension of the discworld Witches miniseries, because Pratchett wasn't sure what to do.)

Tiffany is 13 by now - I think Terry Pratchett has problems writing for small children, which is why Tiffany is so old for her age in the first two books, something that annoyed me - and the manifestation of Winter, a young boy, basically develops a crush on her and imprisons her in a wintery realm on the basis that that will really make her like him back. Of course. So all the witches we know and love from other discworld books (does somebody see a coven of FIVE in the future, folks?) come to save her as well as our favorite NOT-smurfs.

Also, they're remaking Charlotte's Web.

Fern, as is so patently obvious it makes me want to cry, is played by Dakota Fanning.

Dakota Fanning is great, but can't we PLEASE try and find some new young talent?
