FFX RANT.
bleeeeeegh...
I have to go to bed early tonight, or I'm going to die or something. I've only been staying up late for two nights, and already I'm half-dead. It just goes to show, having to get up at 5:45 in the morning for school is going to ruin my summer life. I don't know if I'll be able to survive my short period of zombie-hood until I adjust to not waking up early on weekdays. I mean, it's just been TWO DAYS. TWO DAYS. Aargh! I stay up till 12:30 watching TV and reading, and the next day my body tries to wake me up at 7. While this does not pose a problem to such crazy people such as TRIKA >=P it is pure torture for me. I have been described as catlike; it is accurate. I require twenty hours of sleep to be fully functional. Have you ever noticed that I am often lacking in common sense? That is usually a side effect of lack of sleep. Stupid eight hours people...
Anyway, I've realized that I need to expand my vocabulary. While this may come as a surprise to some of the less...(let's go with intelligent)... people from LHMS, my intelligence is dropping as I grow older. I think I'm growing ditzier, and my snappy insults are getting worse, except for in the case of Benjin, who does not count because I insult him all the time, and it's easy to think of insults for him. But I was talking to Crystal (crystalweaver, not the other one) yesterday, and most of my side of the conversation was "Because they're STUPID," and "Thus I will KILL them." This is not a good sign. Admittedly, we were talking about the dumptruck side of FFX fandom, which means there is little else that is applicable, but it is not a good thing. I've also noticed that whenever we talk on the phone, no matter what we start with, we end up talking about stupid FFX fans and about how Tidus rocks. ^_^ Which he does, of course...
And this is off-topic, but I just feel like saying it. Despite the fact that the only people who read my LJ have generally the same views as me...
AURON WOULD NOT BE A GOOD HERO. ESPECIALLY NOT IN FFX. The thing is, in all truth, Auron is a plot convenience. He knows the plot, what's going on, and he knows everyone. In all truth, Auron is very expedient and a big-picture guy. If he was the hero of X, Yuna would be dead. The only reason Yuna didn't die is because TIDUS wouldn't let it happen. And frankly, Auron is too powerful and too much of a wise guy to be a hero. Though in a story that's very occult, I think he would be well-suited. But he's too old, and it's too important to the plot that all of what he knows isn't revealed at once. In FFX, there are many times when Tidus pretty much outlines his thoughts, when looking back on what happened. If Auron was the hero, it would all happen at once and there would be little point to the game.
I have more ranting on FFX and FFX2 and so on, but I'm too lazy to write it down right now. ^_^
