Wu Fan stood rooted in the middle of the courtyard, crinkled campus map clutched in his hands as his eyes shifted from building to building. It was his first day at the new university, and he regretted not moving in on time for the orientation. He tried to make sense of the hangul written on the map; while he was fluent enough in Korean to be

"Wu Fan. I know you didn't start them, because Chanyeol did." Minseok said, sighing heavily. "Honestly with the way Baekhyun stormed off I half believed it was you. I mean Jongdae was full out hating you by the time you both left. But even though everything pointed to you, I just knew it couldn't be. You're nothing like that. You're to kind, and despite your strong facade I know how much Baekhyun means to you. And I know you would crumble without him." Minseok paused, knowing he was going way off topic.
"Anyways, after you two left Jongdae and I saw Chanyeol and he was talking with some of his friends. We over heard him talking about how easy it was for him to get the rumor to spread." He took a deep breath, puffing out his cheeks slightly before continuing.
"Just in case you didn't know...Chanyeol is Baekhyun's ex. He left the school about a month before the two broke up, but I guess he got back a few days ago or something. When he saw you and Baekhyun, he didn't like it, so he started the rumor as a way to get you away from Baekhyun..."

"I'm glad we squared most of this away, but... How do I get Baekhyun to believe any of this? Does he even know that Chanyeol's back?"

"Do what you did on the first day...go down to the coffee shop and get him a bubble tea. Since he doesn't check who's behind the door he'll open it anyways. And then just be a ninja and get your way into his room before he shuts the door on your face." Minseok added the last part for a bit of humor, but he was also being serious.
"Then when you get into his room, you turn to him shove the drink in his face, and in one long run on sentence you tell him everything I just told you. Don't let him interrupt you." Minseok said with a small chuckle before pushing off of the desk and walking towards the door. "Fighting, Yifan." He said with a smile before exiting the room.

Hoping that this wasn't going to ruin everything, he practiced what he wanted to say in his head as he walked to the cafe. He made sure to go over the details as Minseok described. If he misspoke... Well. He didn't want to think about making things worse.
The blond thanked the barista at the cafe and made his way to Baekhyun's building as he did before; taro bubble tea in hand, clicking his ID in the scanner, nudging his way inside and counting the doors down the hallway. He stopped in front of Baekhyun's room, stood a little to the side in case he did check to see who it was, and knocked.

"Go answer the door Baek. Go see who's interrupting us." Chanyeol whispered against Baekhyun's skin. The male pulled back, allowing the tense brunette to get off the bed. Baekhyun stumbled his way to the door, almost falling twice. He opened the door, looking to the side to see Wu Fan.
"W-Wu Fan hyung...What are you doing here?" He asked, turning his body so Wu Fan couldn't see into his dorm room.

"I-I... wanted to come talk to you." He held out the bubble tea. "This seemed to work wonders the last time you hated me, so I thought... Maybe."

"I...I don't want it. I don't want to see you anymore. I thought I made that clear." Baekhyun said, loud enough so he knew Chanyeol could hear him as well. His eyes focused on a spot on the wall, he couldn't look Wu Fan in the eyes. It would break him, make him crumble.

He nodded, biting his lip. "I guess that's it, huh?" He said softly. "I thought things were going to get better, but... I'm still being punished for a crime I didn't commit."
"Sorry, Baixian," He whispered, afraid his voice would betray him if he spoke any louder. He grabbed the brunette gently by the collar, closed his eyes and kissed him; lips tasting faintly of the sip he stole of the bubble tea on his walk over. "Goodbye."
He set the cup on the floor, in the event Baekhyun changed his mind on wanting it, and began making his way back to the front door.

He didn't move. The blond remembered just last week, telling Baekhyun that the brunette deserved better than to return to an ex that would continously hurt him. Mind racing, Wu Fan flipped the scenario. Baekhyun had trampled his heart more than once already, purposefully or not, and Wu Fan still didn't even know if they were dating.
As much as he was falling in love with the boy, didn't Wu Fan deserve to be happy too? Would going back mean happiness in the end? He ran his tongue over his lips and turned forwards again; eyes on the floor, but he still didn't move.

"H-He's here.." Baekhyun whispered, hoping the blonde could hear him. Then Baekhyun changed tactics, he looked the elder in the eyes. "Please save me Yifan...I need you...Wo ai ni.." He said. His Mandarin skills were horrible, no where near as good as Wufan's Korean, but he had to try. Chanyeol wouldn't understand. This way he could tell Wu Fan anything without Chanyeol knowing.
This was his last chance.

But then the 'I love you' did him in. Hearing that in his mother tongue unravelled him and he turned around. The blond focused on not tripping over himself as he made his way back to Baekhyun's door. Everything was coming together and he suddenly realized that /yes/ Baekhyun knew Chanyeol was back and he was probably in the room behind him. And that did not bode well for anyone, based on the information he knew.
"What happened?" He spoke slowly, enunciating again and hoping to whatever powers there were that Baekhyun knew enough to get through this next conversation in Chinese. "What can I do?"

His next speach was confusing, using a mixture of Korean and Chinese. He hoped that Wufan would be able to understand what he was trying to say, otherwise he wasn't sure what else he could do.
"Chanyeol came to my dorm. He told me what he did. Then he said I was his and that no one else was allowed to touch me. He told me if I wanted to be a whore he would treat me like one. He was just beginning when you showed up. Please Wufan make him go away. I'm so sorry for not believing you. I shouldn't have doubted you. I shouldn't have blamed you. I'm sorry I'm so sorry."

"Now is not the time for apologies. Let me inside, Baixian. Let me help you."

The brunette pulled back, licking his lips before turning back around to open the door. He let the door swing open slowly as he walked through the door frame. Chanyeol stood off the bed, taking a step forward.
"Baek what took you so lo-...what the hell is he doing here?" Chanyeol asked through gritted teeth, his eyes turning harsh as he glared at the blonde male.

This other male was tall, enough to rival himself, and from what he'd learned, didn't know how to feel remorse. He held his head up, however, and pushed back the fear that was making his pulse race against his ribs.
The blond put a hand on Baekhyun's shoulder, stopping him in his tracks so Wu Fan could walk past him and position himself between Chanyeol and the small brunette. "I don't think you belong in Baekhyun's room, in Baekhyun's life, any longer."
