MCR SHENANIGANS EAST COAST RECAP: Post 1, Philly.

I didn't sleep the night before. Which, in hindsight, was dumb. Especially since I was all packed and stuff, but since it's me and this is how my body rolls, I only got tired about an hour before it was time to leave. sigh.

Tiff made me drive so we picked Jennifer up and headed to the airport. It was pretty uneventful, we got to Chicago for out layover (I counted 8 golf courses on the descent) and there was some noise about the flight being packed to the brim and it left a little late, but despite being split up we got on the plane and got to Philly.

So when we GOT to Philly it was a mess. It took us 2 and a half hours to find someone to rent us a car. Since I am underage (by a few months!!) and dont have a credit card/credit, the only one that ended up renting to us was Payless and they are round trip only. GAH. So instead of dropping off the car in Newark like we wanted, we had to drive back to philly. Whatever, as long as we got a fucking car!

So then it was off to the 30th st station to pick up piratesunk! We got lost a little bit but it was only for like, 15 mins so it wasnt too bad. I gave Marie MASSIVE HUGS then we went to the Tower Theatre!

The drive there was interesting, straight through the ghetto with the worst roads i have ever had the pleasure of driving across. Jfc. It was like being on a roller coaster, hahaha. But we made it and I parked in the venue parking garage down the block instead of fighting for parking spots on the road. We were gonna line up and then decided not too and went and got mediocre pizza and sat down instead.

Marie!!!!!! ♥!

This pictures starts a tradition of my hair just looking like a wreck EVERYWHERE.

Then it was time to go inside and Marie had to go up to the balcony on her own :( while Jennifer and I went to our seats down at the middle-back-area of the center part. I'm so awesome with explaining but it wasn't too terrible of a spot but not great either haha.

The architects were amazing as always! I had missed them like i missed MCR since Denver and they didn't disappoint. Even if the crowd sucked because of the seats, I rocked out! It was nice to see them again.

This is where I admit I missed most of Thursday that night because I went and got merch then. I figured it was the right night to get it and I wasn't familiar with Thursday then. It took liek a half an hour, lol, and I got the party poison hoodie and the poster by Gabriel Ba.

THEN MCR. OH GOD THEY NEVER EVER EVER DISAPPOINT ME! It was an experience, being in the seats. I actually enjoyed that show a lot because I danced my brains out like whoa, but it was also because I could hear everyone singing along with MCR. It must have been because of the amazing acoustics in that place but it was really moving and I just cried and cried because it was one of the most beautiful things I have ever had the pleasure of being a part of. It definitely made up for the rather crappy and stressful day we'd had.

After the show, I saw wasoncedelight and apocalypse_me, whom I'd met briefly on our way out of the pizza place, and creeped on Sally a little bit. She was wearing a Black Flag shirt and liked my Souls hoodie, I couldn't help myself! They ended up being super awesome line friends in Jersey so I am glad I stepped in gum on my way over to gush at Sally's shirt, hehe.

When we got outside, Jennifer and I finally met back up with Marie who was kind enough to introduce us formally to the Architect guys. We were thinking of sticking around to see if Frank would come out, but it was starting to rain and i was tired with a long drive still ahead of me so we left.

Because of me failing at listening to directions in Philly and then Jennifer's phone taking us the most roundabout way POSSIBLE, it took us 2 and half hours to drive what should have been a one and a half hour drive into Jersey. Including the bit of 'WHERE IS I-95?!' when we were on the Turnpike, not knowing that the Turnpike IS I-95 and the exit we wanted was the next one. Sigh.

But we got to the hotel, checked in to our 1 bed hotel room, then all three of us slept horizontally across the bed with dreams of Starland Ballroom the next day, hehehe
