WHEEEE. Time for pictures of when we went to see Alkaline Trio doing the instore!
So like, that Friday, I was on twitter just doing my thang, but i noticed that there was going to be an instore/signing in Vancouver on the Sunday! I asked Shay if it would be okay if we could go, she said it was okay and then Elizabeth and Meghan said they wanted to come! So we took a Crew Adventure down to see Alkaline Trio. BWEEE.
So we got there, got our wristbands (which are fake leather with snaps, fucking fancy shit), ate lunch, then went and waited in line for the thing, then went in! They played acoustically, of course, then they played This Addiction, Dine Dine My Darling, Emma, Blue In The Face, and then at the insistence of someone in the crowd: Sadie. First time ever playing acoustically! And they did a damn fine job of it too :]
NOTABLE MOMENTS:
- We had come out of Build-A-Bear to head to a different toy store and saw Dan Andriano walking around!!! I clutched onto Darren's arm and freaked out a bit, lmao. I didn't say hi, but then I wished I had so Darren, Elizabeth, and I went and searched for him so I could. No dice, however. Boo.
- We were first in line for the acoustic set! Heee, so I got to stand directly in front of Matt. I tried very hard not to be just *_*, but im sure i never looked away from them (and probably never blinked XD)
- Matt and Dan were so funny XD They were talking about Dan's wii ski-jumping form was excellent and that they were starting their own olympics on the bus. Including the bloody mary event XD And Matt was like WHO KNOWS WHAT (SKATING MANEUVER) IS? and Dan shoved his hand in the air and was like ME! I KNOW, I KNOW! PICK ME! and Matt was hitting on guys and little babies and SO DELIGHTFUL. I love them so much ♥
- During This Addiction, Matt smiled and pointed at me (*flaps*) and I tried not to freak out. I had told the Crew earlier that I would be thrilled beyond belief if they recognized me but if they didn't, no big deal. It's been a long time since I've seen them and they meet/know so many people. So I figured the little point was from Matt either recognizing me or calling out the fact i knew all the lyrics to the song.
- They played Blue In The Faaaaaace!
- In the signing line, Matt was drawing arrows from his signature to Dan's crotch XD Dan looked over at him with an amused look and matt was like 'I want to be in you' to him. OH MATT SKIBA ♥
- THEY REMEMBERED ME DKL;SJDF;ALSFD; Matt was like HEY WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE, I KNEW I RECOGNIZED YOUR FACE! BUT FROM THE STATES, RIGHT? Heee. He asked what I was doing in Canada and I told him I was there for my friends and introduced them. GENTLEMAN FOREVER, he shook all of their hands and was so very kind to them. Bless him ♥
- Dan was like '...what venue are we playing in Denver?' BWEE. We discussed the venue a little bit and he was as polite as always :D
- And DEREk. Oh Derek, he never fails to make me flustered. I can hold my own against the other two, right, but the moment he smiles at me and starts being all stupid and soft and nice, I just go a;slkdjf XD So I'm not sure of all I said to him, I think it was a bunch of word vomit, but I do distinctly remember talking about Punk Rocks 09 and The Vandals so maybe I didnt make too much of an ass of myself :x lmao.
Then we went outside and I flailed and screeched and got it all out of my system XD I spent the rest of the day floating XD On the way out, we saw Matt getting food from Taco Time, lmao. I didnt bother him because he was eating, but STILL CUTE. IDK.
Okay, enough of me babbling. Here are the pics from the day, the pics from the NIGHT will come later.
