1st HSM Fanfiction Awards - nominations

Welcome to the very first High School Musical Fanfiction Awards!
This thing is actually happening! First off a quick thank you to everyone that promoted this community. We've been officially opened for less than 2 days and almost 50 members already! Hopefully intothelines will keep on growing day by day, with more help from you all.
Hopefully it won't be too much to ask, but a good way of getting this to be an "official" awards and well known is by getting the word around FanFiction. So If all you authors that are a part of this comm. could mention this and maybe link to this post that'd be great. You don't have to of course. But we might as well make that request.
Also, we have a few authors that decided to post their stories so be sure to check those out if you haven't already. Let's get the the point of this entry....under the cut!
Here is how things will work:
+ Nominate the story you feel best fits the category using the from at the end of this post
+ Post the whole form as one comment, not 22 separate comments
+ Nominations are open for two weeks
+ Nikka & I will pick four or five stories for each category to be voted on my you all
+ All comments are automatically screened (hidden)
+ Feel free to pimp out your own stories and ask your readers for nominations
+ This is the first time we're doing this so there are plenty of categories being tested to see which ones people care for
Nominations will be open for about two weeks (6/26 - 7/10).
R U L E S
+ you can nominate fics from fanfiction.net, other LJ comms, pretty much anywhere as long as we can see them
+ Only nominate one story for each category
+ A nomination for every category is not needed
+ Leave a link to the story
+ Unless noted both multi-chaptered and one-shots can be submitted
+ Don't submit your own story
+ Both unfinished and finished fics can be submitted
+ Notify the author if you nominate their fic (by sending them a message)
+ Any couple/character(s) can be nominated - writing is based on skills not names of people
+ You can nominate one story for multiple categories

C A T E G O R I E S
(you can SKIP this part is you don't want the descriptions and just scroll to the bottom of the page.
General Awards - You can nominate fics for any couple/character(s). We decide the fics that are put up for voting by the talent they show. As long as it's "good" pretty much anything can be submitted.
+ Best Canon
This fic should follow the events of the HSM movies while keeping the characters (their actions & personality) the same. In short, Gabriella can't start out the story being a hooker while Taylor is a sports genius.
+ Biggest Tearjerker
This is for that story that makes you cry. The one that makes you grab for that 3rd box of Kleenex.
+ Best Romance
Something that will give Valentines Day a run for its money.
+ Most Original Plot
Nobody wants to read a story with a plot that's been used a thousand times over. Nominate the story you feel deserving of most original. Or what I call 'story I wish I came up with'.
+ Best Use of Music
Sometimes songs just don't work. Other times they fit fantastically well with taking up half the word count.
+ Best Collaboration
OMFG!! *dies* You're favorite authors wrote a story together and it's 10x better than you could've ever imagined.
+ Most comedic
Whether it's just a one-liner that gets you laughing or a whole chapter that causes a full blown giggle fest.
+ Most likely to sell out in a bookstore
Have you ever thought to yourself "This could out-sell that overrated novel anyday?"
+ Best Use of Smut
We all love sexy time in the fanfic world but 40 chapters of nothing but pointless smut and no plot is a bit much. This is for the story that balances out the sexiness with some depth. Remember, there's a difference between a story and a compilation of one-shots. *hinthint*
+ Sexiest One-Shot
Pretty much the opposite of the last category. A one-shot that's well written and centers all around the sex.
+ Best Newbie
A fanfic that was published withing the last month (after May 26, 2009).
+ Best Old School Fic
Fics were completed atleast 6 months ago.
+ Best "Indie" Fic
It's nice to get recognition for something you've put alot of effort towards. In the fanfic world if you post a well written story you're gonna get the reviews to make you feel appreciated. But that's not always the case. Sometimes stories don't get the recognition they deserve, whether it be that the readers are too lazy to review or for other reasons. Your nomination needs to average 12 or less reviews per chapter or have under 20 reviews as a oneshot.
+ Best Author
This is probably the biggest award, as the name states it is for the best author. Pretty self-explanatory. Nominate someone who's work you truely enjoy reading.
Character & Couples Awards
+ Troy I'd like as a Boyfriend
How could we hold an award without mentioning the superstar himself? The title should explain it self.
+ Strongest Lapdog
Fics that show Ryan Evans maturing and growing into his own person.
+ Best Troyella Romance
Fics that gets you falling in love with Troy & Gabriella all over again.
+ Best Troypay Romance
Troy & Sharpay readers/writers need some recognition too!
+ Best Side-character Romance
For all the fanfics that concentrate on Chaylor, Ryelsi, Jelsi, Zekepay, ect.
+ Best BFF
Being a good friend can be a tough job but it's even harder being a best friend. This is for the girl, guy, dog, purse, car...basically whoever/whatever you think made an amazing friend to the hero and/or heroine of the story.
+ Most Evil Villian
Every good story needs someone who can cause a little (or alot) or trouble. After all would there be an HSM 3 if Troy and Gabriella danced off to the sunset set the first hour of meeting? That wouldn't even finish the first movie.
+ Best Zanessa fanfic
+ Best Zashley fanfic
+ Best Cast Romance
For those fics that aren't ZV or ZA.

Remember, you do not have to fill out every category if you don't want to or if you just don't know what story to put. It would be an awesome thing to do though *hinthint*
