i feel so hands-empty about new orleans and the hurricane. today kaitlin and i ate lunch together and we talked about how strange it is that we are going through our normal days, waking up and going to class and eating in the cafeteria with hundreds of other students going through their normal days. the sun is out, and it is surreal and sad.

my prayers for you are confused and scared, but still going up and out.
