i joined the allie shields club of insanely cute & short hair over the weekend.
also, i went to chicago for a wedding. then i came home and did some more stuff.

AWESOME THINGS THAT HAPPENED OVER THE WEEKEND:
- i got my hair cut first AT THE MALL and secondly BY BRIAN IN MY KITCHEN
- when i called brian to come fix my haircut, i said "here's what i'm thinking...chris carrabba from dashboard confessional?" and as soon as he said it i felt safe to reveal to him that i was too afraid to tell the mall hairstylist to cut it like BRAD PITT
- i got lost in peoria and when kelly called and i told her i was behind some big apartment buildings, she gently revealed to me that those were THE PROJECTS.
- kelly and i were dates to megan's wedding and looked like A TRUE LESBIAN COUPLE
- seeing kaitlin! and she looked so pretty. and she was funny and cool as a cucumber right up until t-zero minutes until THE WEDDING.
- megan got married! and during the candle-lighting part she kept looking up at josh and mouthing "i'm so happy, i'm so happy" and kelly and i BAWLED.
- sitting between adam and kelly at the reception
- kaitlin's TOAST. i kept screaming she's a comedian!! but it was so sweet as well. it was perfect. we cried more.
- the father-daughter dance was to "isn't she lovely." how perfect is that? ...cried more.
- the cook made extra vegetarian meals for me and kelly
- throwing up that vegetarian meal and all its preceding courses/only TWO DRINKS while crying/trying to stay quiet because i was in a public bathroom stall with old ladies all around me
- dancing with kelly and finding out later that kait's cousin had come up to her then and said "this might sound sick but do they like each other?"
- me and kelly met a cute boy from the o.c. (kelly said "isn't that a really nice area?" and he said "it's a really nice county, BABE" and kelly replied, "that's what i meant, BABE") and shamelessly/harmlessly chatted him up in the lobby. when we got in the LIMO we saw him in the parking lot and yelled goodbye to him, and he ran over and STUCK HIS HEAD IN THE WINDOW and it was immediately apparent that he wanted us to KISS HIM. but we didn't because we're good girls. we just said NICE TO MEET YOU.
- riding in a LIMO. as soon as we got in kelly screamed incredulously there's a RADIO?! and BUCKLED HER SEATBELT and she wasn't joking on EITHER COUNTS.
- being able to watch three episodes of gasteneau girls and curl up on the couch while everyone else was out getting groped in a club/sleeping in the limo till 6am
- taking a shower at nicole's house because i LOVE taking showers at other people's houses. it's like a nosy person's/free-sample-loving person's heaven
- eating a really great mushroom omelette for breakfast
- hanging out with my friends the night after a looong night
- saying goodbye to kait and adam and knowing it's only for a WEEK!
- driving home and reading life of pi
- adam gave me brian's PAPKO cd to give back to him and on my drive home from peoria i listened to the entire length of the JUAN ATTEMPTS TO GET LAID song for the first time ever. it clocks in at something like seventeen minutes.
- getting back to champaign just in time to see angie at cowboy monkey!
- there was a guy at the bar who looked EXACTLY LIKE JOHN LENNON
- downtown champaign anytime
- brian and i had french fries and hash browns at merry ann's before he took me home
- the kitties still recognize me
- SLEEPING.

good things that have happened today:
- i lived through my biology class even though i was SCARED TO GO IN because i HATE going in places for the first time with a new haircut. it's all sorts of awkward.
- zimos unexpectedly dropped by and bought me an ice cream cone!!
- z and i talked about batman begins and when i asked him if the crazy gas scared him pantsless, he replied, "well, i had already shed my pants by that time anyway."
- i finished life of pi and really liked it
- have two nights without rehearsal, which means two more nights until bob stabs me in the heart with a scottish dagger for cutting my hair before the show opens edit: bob likes it!! OHH SWEET LOVE OF LIFE AT LAST I'VE FOUND YOUUUUU
- my birthday is FRIDAY!! and my party is SATURDAY!!
- I LOVE MY HAIR.
- took a nap with the kittycats, who have cat breath.
whew!
