teepees and smoke rings

Feb 26, 2006 20:15

hold my hand, we'll cross the street you and i
we'll make believe we deserved the best out of this life

we'll leave behind our moral sins, and swear off the drugs we thought we did
and the alcohol and the cigarettes we consumed

cause its your arm around my arm
and its our shadows side by side
and its this heart
that i can no longer call mine

rest your head, we'll sleep on the long ride home
and dreams we'd have remind us that we'll never be alone

we'll lose our impure desires, and learn to love like paper loves fire
and the hearts we're broke, and the lies were wrote
but now they're gone

cause now it's time to start the car
and it's you in the passenger side
and its this heart
that i can no longer call mine

don't let the flame dissipate, i think it's love
