Strange sentiment from a political camp

Sep 03, 2008 12:38

Now, I'm not trying to start a political discussion. But I found this online and have been surprised by how few people that I know have heard about it. Given that the people who I know might just possibly actually care about it, I feel the need to share.

I do, however, want to point out in the interest of disclosure that the headline of this article is misleading: McCain didn't make the comments. Yes, someone working for his campaign did, so its like he did, and I get that. But he didn't.

This article specifically is being linked to because it conveniently references both incidents.

After the first comment (I believe) but before the second, he gave this apology:

After the second comment, when things online (apparently) really exploded, the Sr. Vice President of Hasbro wrote Goldfarb a letter, telling him (in a nutshell) to knock it the fuck off.

I'm not really sure what to make of the whole situation, or how I feel about it. It just seems so... incredibly random.
