Yoochun comes over a little earlier than expected. He appears at Changmin's doorstep a week later with an apologetic glint in his eyes and a bouquet of flowers, smiling a small, sad smile at Junsu when he opens the door.
"Go away," Junsu says robotically when he sees Yoochun. He's not prepared for this, not ready to admit to himself that he is to weak to leave Yoochun for good. Too fast, he wants to say - his heart has barely healed.
"Su-yah," Yoochun answers. Just that one word, and Junsu can feel his resolve slipping, can feel himself being drawn back into Yoochun's world. This is when Junsu realises it isn't that easy to fall out of love, not at all. Yoochun might have cheated on him a dozen times, but Junsu's heart is still not back in its rightful place in his chest - it still belongs to Yoochun.
Junsu shuts his eyes tightly. Changmin is away at work - there is nobody here to save him, to stop him from following Yoochun home. He feels the slightest of pressures against his lips, and his eyes flutter open to look into Yoochun's familiar ones.
"What the fuck do you think you're doing?"
Yoochun lets go of Junsu, stepping back. Junsu stares, eyes wide, as Changmin appears behind Yoochun, glaring balefully at the unexpected visitor.
"Changmin-sshi," says Yoochun politely. Changmin's eyes flicker dangerously, and Junsu has the faint urge to throw his arms around Changmin, his saviour. He loves Yoochun, he really does, but he's not ready to throw himself back into the life of loneliness, of crying himself to sleep every night.
"Can you please stop harassing Junsu?" Changmin asks, pushing past yoochun to open the door wider so he can step into the apartment. He stands beside Junsu, slinging a protective arm around Junsu's shoulders. "If I'm right, he made the decision to leave you. Why are you still clinging onto him? Weren't you the one who left him alone every single night to go partying with the ladies?"
Yoochun grits his teeth and clenches his fists. "I was working," he says, gaze flickering to Junsu. "You believe me, don't you, Junsu-yah?"
"Junsu," Changmin begins, and Junsu stops him with a shake of his head.
"I know what you did, Yoochun," Junsu says softly but surely. "So stop lying. I wouldn't have left if I'd believed you, you know."
Yoochun's mouth hangs open in shock - whether from the fact that Junsu has seen through all his lies or from the fact that Junsu has just stood up for himself for the first time, Junsu has no idea. But he feels Changmin's comforting squeeze on his shoulder, and he smiles.
"Goodbye, Yoochun," Junsu says quietly. He reaches out a shaky hand and slams the door in Yoochun's frozen face.
He stands there trembling for a minute, hand still on the door handle, when Changmin breaks the tense silence. "Are you sure this is okay?" asks Changmin from behind Junsu.
"I'm not sure," Junsu admits truthfully. He turns to look up at Changmin, and gathers a shaky smile. "But you'll stay with me, won't you?"
Changmin nods. "I will," he promises.
Junsu grins. "That's all I need."
