Good morning!

Amazing how time flies. It has been so long since my last post - again! What an earth have I been doing? I don't even seem to have the time to get rid of that letter pile. The pile has got a lot smaller but still... It is there!

Minna was here for a week and we had a great time. Obviously I didn't write any letters that week and that is why the letter pile suddenly got bigger again (before she came, I only had a few letters left to reply). Now Minna is in the UK for another week. And I miss her a lot already!

My ex-colleague T. told me that she is going to send most of her stuff back to Finland already at the end of August. This means I can borrow her books only until then so I guess I will spend pretty much the whole month of August reading. I am still reading "Under the Tuscan Sun" and I find it a boring book... still, I want to finish it. I think the writer of this book is writing too much about all the plants around the house and details repairing the house, whereas I would find it more interesting to read about the Italians and their life style, and about how the writer got adjusted to this life style. The book certainly hasn't made me want to see the film.

The house isn't fully ready yet but we thought we deserved a break from it. So, we have watched a bunch of films lately. We have seen at least "The Pianist" (loved that one), "Anger Management" (it was actually funnier than I expected", "Bringing Down the House" (not very good), "Pirates of the Caribbean" (why did I wait so long to see this one?), "Intolerable Cruelty" (liked it). We have also often enjoyed sitting in the garden watching Into and the neighbour doggie playing. There is not much left of the garden though... But what the heck, the main thing is that the doggies get rid of their extra energy and have fun :)

It looks like it will be another beautiful day today. One of my friends will come for a visit in the afternoon so I should do some cleaning now. I also want to take Into out before she comes. Other than that, I have no plans for today.
