I think the Glee Project took place last year in 2011,
But I only managed to watch the entire season one by chance,
When I subscribed to Mio TV after moving to YS.
What set The Glee Project apart from Glee! was that it felt more genuine,
Less scripted (though I'm sure certain parts were deliberately choreographed).
I was particularly enchanted by Cameron Mitchell, his debonair as well as his way of singing.
It was a pity that he did not make it to the finals, but then again, perhaps it was also because
Of the fact that he declined to make it to the finals that made his unique.
Through him, I got to know the song "Blackbird" a little better. In fact,
I did not even know that it was an original song by The Beatles, when I have heard
And remembered so many other songs by the band.
How impressions are being made, some deeper than others.
Another song that got lodged into my mind was
"Keep Holding On" by Avril Lavigne, also the theme song for the project.
