just chillin at the... uh, apartment
Got back from the Caps game a few minutes ago, and ahhh it was NICE. love that refrigerated air. I've been away from the rink for FAR too long. it was gorgeous out 30 minutes ago, but now it's raining a little bit.
Caps win! SWEET but ugly goal by Brooksie to start it off, then they almost blew the 4-0 lead (and a goal by Brash? seriously?) but held on to win 4-3. it was just enough frustration to really feel like the season's about to begin.
Thoughts:
- Pothier's gonna have a good season. it is good to have him back.
- Loving the addition of Knuble and Morrison. they can score, they're gritty, they're like cloning Chris Clark - and hopefully all three will stay healthy.
- Schultz is hitting people! woo!
- Chris Bourque is trying pretty hard, but I don't see him making the roster. on the other hand, Matt Gilroy was hanging out with Chris Drury and Sean Avery in the press box. lil Bourque probably hates Gilroy's guts.
- Ovi and Semin are still trying to be too cute, but I'll give them one more this last preseason game to snap out of that shit. PASS THE PUCK ONCE AND GET TO THE NET. stop this stupid dipsy-doodling.
- I love watching Stecks take faceoffs. beautiful.
so, I hear the convention was pretty amazing. who's got photos of the pretty boys to share?
there are about a million other games going on today - it's that insane season when hockey, football, college football and baseball collide.
I think I'll go take a nap!
