This was very good, but still painful. It makes me scared that this whole series will not end well. What makes me feel better, is the knowledge that everytime I think this, the next chappie always seems to hint that it will end just fine. Still, I'm worried. I love it, I'm just being an annoying mother hen. You know, the kind you'd like to shoot just to shut it up. And I guess if you're hungry....

Yay! How especially kind of you both to post while life is getting in the way.

This fic just continues to rivet. This chapter twisted at my gut particularly, because it refused to resolve what can't be resolved and sharpened my dread that this will end very poorly indeed for Bruce. His instinct to keep the Joker at a bit of a distance is finally worn down in the face of his human instinct toward closeness and I can't but feel that, for all they've been through, Bruce still needs Alfred's lecture on "a man you don't fully understand." Oof.

Well, this is kinda a Captain Obvious comment, isn't it? In any case, I am very much enjoying. Thanks for the great work!
