Wow thanks for more delicious music, this soundtrack has really changed my life. I was listening to it while I was walking home from work and 'Fast and Beautiful' came on - I just got this build up of excitement and emotions, and I just started running with this music pumping in my ears. Now I go jogging every night listening exclusively to the SiE soundtrack and I'm losing so much weight! I've actually got a chance at being a proper skinny Joker at my sister's costume party next month!
It's weird not being able to see what I'm downloading this time around, I'm unsure of what new music I actually have, and of what relevance each track has to the story... but I have faith in your music tastes, girls.
Thats my favourite thing about them. ^_^ Though it's interesting, listening to them now without any outside influence, thinking "Now is this a Joker song or a Bruce song?" and trying to place it within the plot somewhere.
By the way... I'm interested to notice that some of the songs I downloaded from the first two early soundtrack updates are only just starting to make sense in the context of these last five-or-so chapters. Does the music direct you ever so slightly in which direction you go, plotwise? Influencing the mood of the story depending on what you're listening to while you roleplay? Or do you and Loony have a specific plot set out to begin with and even the early songs have a bigger plot connection beyond the parts of the story that are posted right now?
It's a question thats been bugging me for a while. Apologies if I'm making no sense.
I develop A LOT of the plot. I'm used to being Head Storyteller/DM/Game Master/whatever. I also put together the fanmix. So really, it's a matter of me pulling songs based upon how I view the characters and what songs would be good for upcoming plot and scenes.
Thats interesting. I like that. I'm somewhat comforted to know that you already know whats going to happen even though the thought of you two throwing it all together in sporadic chaos, being shaped by the music and whatever impulses are driving your brains at that moment, has a certain appeal. But I'm sure it would lead to bad story. This is why I'm not a writer. Aha.
I'm loving the new music, also. Could Pendulum's 'The Tempest' BE any more perfect? I mean... really?
I pick songs not only based on their sound, but their lyrics. Fitting lyrics are VERY important to me.
I suppose 'Thank God I'm Pretty' confused the hell outta people until it came up in the story that Joker's father sexually and physically abused him in a way that had a lot to do with his resemblance to his mother.
YES! Thats exactly what sparked the thought off in my brain... originally I assumed it was meant in an ironic way. Though hell I am a freak who finds scars incredibly pretty, so... yah.

There's a reason for each of them.
