Why I Quit Facebook!

I finally have gotten to the point where I have decided to quit facebook. It was not a simple decision but one that had to be done swiftly in order to save my professional demeanor and reputation on line. Back when it first came out when we were in college it was something of a novelty, safe place for college students to connect on a variety of issues. It became a place that was for us and it was great connecting with long lost friends and family members who could see my life take place in up to the date updates. Then when everyone was started to allowed to be on it became such a nuiance.

I had contemplated deactivating my account but didnt since post college it was a great way to keep in touch with friends over the world and country but as other services started coming up ie twitter and gmail and skype the need for facebook seemed to still be there. Well recently I was laid off and am in the market for full time employment my father's company is looking to hire some new people so he figured he would search my name using different variations on google for my safety and so I can see what was out there on me. I really appreciated it. Well a post came up from when I was a Sophomore in college some stupid yong shit that I had done and could really be detrimental to my career. I flippped out I signed up for reputation defender and its now gone.

I deactiated my facebook and I suggest you all should too! Its so freeing!
