Just curious... not a serious suggestion

It's a pretty common complaint around here that we have a hard time meeting other INTJs in the flesh but has anybody ever considered a meetup or some sort of "INTJ Con"?

If something like that ever got put together what do you think it would look like?

I met a lot of them with the clever plan of "go to engineering school" :) Yeah, I know, not an options for lots of people, especially older ones, and it's not like all INTJs wanna be engineers.

So while I feel no special dirth of INTJs in my life, I might go to an INTJ Con just for the heck of it.

I went to engineering school too but didn't meet that many INTJs until grad school and even there the INTPs outnumbered the INTJs by a wide margin. I was the only INTJ in my starting undergrad engineering class.

I'm not sure where all the other INTJs were hiding.

I met quite a few in my ONLINE psychology classes. I think it'd be cool to meet more INTJs in real life but I think it'd be a pretty silent convention!

I think the whole group/formality/meeting/gathering thing is pretty not an INTJ thing..

Why? We aren't all anti-people. Getting together for a purpose is very INTJ I'd say.

Getting together to share superficial social nicities... not so much.

I met a lot of intj's and other intj-compatible types by hanging around with computer science people.

If there was an actual meetup, though, I think it would have to have some kind of purpose, structure, or activity planned (besides just meeting up) to prevent everyone just standing around staring at each other.

Which is why the abovementioned people usually play rock band or jam on actual instruments or do something of that sort when they get people together.

I envision us all getting together to build a house or do some other big awesome construction project.

Not very realistic, but I think it would be fun. :)

Maybe that's just me, though.
Hmm, have to think about this further.
