My hotel is loud. I'm starting to regret doing renovations so that Lorne can have Caritas in the hotel. The whole thing is one big headache and I'm wondering if it's too late to ask Lorne to relocate. Add to that the many voices of girls, slayers, that are showing up everyday and quiet is quickly becoming a useless word. I can't go anywhere for a moment of peace, even my own office.
At least in here I can lock the door and draw the shades and pretend that the world outside doesn't exist, except the sounds keep finding me. Damn my vampire hearing! I think it's time for me to invest in earplugs. I sigh and lean back in my chair, thinking about the other things going on.
Willow is here and Giles is bringing Buffy, Dawn, Xander and more slayers with him. My hotel is about to become slayer central, where they will be recruited and trained. So far, Willow has been a bit antisocial, which I guess is to be expected, and I think she's worrying about Buffy's reaction to coming here and staying. I know I'm nervous about it myself. Buffy and I have seen each other a few times since I left Sunnydale, but to have her living here is going to be strange and very uncomfortable, all the more reason to stay in my office and be antisocial myself.
From the sounds I'm hearing outside, apparently Buffy and Dawn aren't here yet, but Xander, Giles and a couple of slayers are. Well, I guess I don't have to face Buffy yet and I'm kind of relieved about that for the moment. Of course, I don't think there's going to be any moment that I'm going to be ready for her to be here.
