It's been a while...
It has been 2 years since I've written on LJ. Actually, probably longer than that since all I used to post were quizzes.
A lot has obviously happened since then, but I won't get into all the details. All you need to know is that I'm in my second year at the university of windsor, studying music, with voice as my instrument. Windsor is a very blue collar city (a term I learned just yesterday), but it beats living in the GTA. The weather is also way warmer down here. I've lived in residence for 2 years. I have the greatest roomie anyone could've asked for. Her name's Jana, and when I first lurked on Facebook, I was a little afraid. She was basically the opposite of me.. christian, country fan, farm girl... I really did not know what to expect. Turns out, we have almost identical personalities, but different interests. People say that we're soul mates. She was actually afraid to meet me as well. She thought i was going to be some crazy punk rocker, with piercings and tattoos. We both come from large families, she's the youngest of 4, with 3 brothers. She has also never been kissed, like me.
This school year has been flying by. Mostly because I'm able to drink, so my weekends aren't always spent alone in res. I have also developed my first Windsor boy crush... So i've been spending a lot of time trying to get to know him. I'm actually having a lot of trouble with that. It's kind of depressing that i'm 19 and still have not had a boyfriend, and therefore have the toughest time flirting with boys. I really don't know how to go about this... my usual methods clearly don't work. It's just he's really quickwitted, and I never know what to say. It bugs me because I'm normally the biggest chatterbox. Plus I know he'll like me once I get know him, we'd be hilarious. I'm just having a hard time getting to that point... Anywho, I could go on forever about this, but it won't solve anything. Hopefully things will work themselves out if it's meant to be.
Alright that's enough for tonight... Hopefully next time i'll have an update on my boy situation.
