beyond blessed.

I love my job, and I feel so blessed to be able to take part in the lives of these young people. God allowing me to be a piece of the puzzle, to help bring teens to Him...really a blessing. I know I'm not worthy, which makes it even more of an honor to do the work I do.

This week there is an article in the Herald about our Bible Study... Popular Weekly Bible Talk at Annandale Coffee Shop. It perfectly captured what I love most about that program -- the depth and beauty of the things that the kids say. As always, that night I was so impressed by them, humbled by their questions and insights, and really honored to work with them.

We have a beach retreat coming up in two weeks. And would you believe it? God (who is never outdone in generosity) has outdone Himself. Last year we were floored when we had twenty-seven kids on retreat. It was unprecidented and really amazing. This year, with two weeks still until retreat, we have thirty-six kids signed up. I wouldn't be surprised if we break fifty, honestly. Now, I'm not numbers driven -- I am a big proponent of the whole "Jesus said feed His sheep, not count them...." thing. But I'm excited that He is bringing us so many kids to "feed" on the weekend! I'm going to be working super hard on this in the next two weeks. Pray for me!

That's the update from here at the moment. God is really pretty amazing, ya know?
