Dependency resolution.
I wasn't going to go grocery shopping before I'd done the laundry, because all of my best cloth grocery bags went with me on some travels recently and now really need to be run through the washing machine because they've been serving as laundry bags, shower bags, etc.
But now I can't easily do the laundry before I've gone grocery shopping, since I accidentally left my laundry soap in the laundry room before travelling and one of my neighbours used it up. Stealing someone else's, on top of being ethically questionable, is risky because my skin reacts to almost everything, so I need That One Super-Gentle Hypoallergic Unscented Soap® and it comes from the grocery store. Which is just enough of a walk away that I don't especially want to make two trips in short succession. I might if the weather were better, but it's very hot out at the moment.
And having to deal with paper/plastic bags is less annoying than a rash.
