elfiepike He sinks into her folds, and imagining himself surrounded on all sides by warm flesh only makes him harder. What would a cross-section of the two of them look like? Pink and dark and pulsing, he thinks, and he knows that he could figure out a charm to make a cross-section pulse, with her help.

It's funny because he is always surrounded by people but always feels alone, even with Harry and Hermione and everyone. He can't help that he isn't as smart as Percy or as brave as Charlie or as entertaining as the twins or as female as Ginny. It's just the way he is; he doesn't know how to change any of it.
On second thought, it isn't that funny after all.

She doesn't confess to him that she loves him, but he knows that when he's with her he feels moderately more complete, like there's someone that doesn't really mind that he's often stupid and judgmental and insecure. Those things don't factor into her view of him, or maybe her priorities are simply more advanced than his. That would make sense; she's always been more advanced than him.

It's a war and they both know it and perhaps that's why it's happening now, with this feeling of panic rushing in his veins. It's a feeling of now-or-never, and he knows that it's another thing they share between the two of them.
"I, well, you see--" he says, and she smiles at him, and he wonders if her dentist parents ever said anything about her teeth being different, because he still remembers realizing that she had somehow changed in some tiny, important way and if her parents never noticed it's their loss.
