TALLY HO TO VICTORY!

Wow. Just, wow. I just got back from an amazing, AMAZING night.

Chris and I met up at around 7:30 to head to Starbucks. The conversation was great right from the start. We walked to Starbucks and got our coffee (and he was very surprised/grateful that I paid for it), and then he told me he knew of a nice place to sit where we could just hang out and talk. It was this stone wall area in front of the church that is on the corner of Franklin Street and some other street. So we sat there for a long time just talking and drinking our coffee, and it was completely wonderful. After a while, we got tired of sitting, so we got up and just started wandering around campus. We walked and walked and walked, just not wanting to go back to our dorms and not wanting to stop talking. We meandered our way over the quads and had more great conversation. Then we ended up in the pit, where we sat down and talked...some more. We did a whole lot of talking tonight =P. And at one point we were even lying on our backs next to each other just chatting and staring at the really pretty cloudy sky. It was fucking awesome.

Then it got to be like 11:00, so we decided we both needed to try and get homework done, but I ended up just going back to his dorm with him so I could study Russian there. So I got to see his room, and he gave me a demo of him solving the Rubik's cube (which was really cool). He also told me he'd teach me how to solve it if I wanted to learn =). Then we headed to the study lounge in his dorm, and we hung out there for about an hour while he did math and German stuff and I studied for my Russian midterm. Eventually we both got really tired, so we decided (reluctantly) that it was time to call it a night. He walked me out of his dorm, and he said he had a lot of fun tonight, and that we should definitely do this again sometime (he had also said both of these things earlier in the night). He's going to be gone most of the weekend, but he said he'd see me Monday and that maybe we could grab dinner or something (!).

So needless to say, I am excited out of my mind. We have SO much in common, and we make each other laugh, and he's incredibly easy to talk to. And we always talk about smart things. It sounds weird I guess, but I really love a good casual yet intellectual conversation. And that is what we always have. We're totally casual about things but we talk about these random scholarly topics. He is incredibly smart, and I love it. And he is filled with random knowledge, kind of like me I guess, so we share all these random facts with each other. He is genuinely interesting to talk to, and I think he is kind of insecure about seeming really dorky, but the truth is that I LOVE dorky guys, and it's a total turn-on for him to be a nerd. I didn't tell him this though, of course =P.

And since I know people are going to ask (and since Kathryn already did ask), no we didn't fuck, and no we didn't kiss either. Yet. But I know that's coming (the kissing part. the other...who knows? time will tell =P). I could tell we both wanted to kiss, it just wasn't quite the right time yet. We weren't exactly alone anywhere we went so it wasn't really appropriate either. But you know what? I am perfectly happy and satisfied with our night together. I am a firm believer in taking things slowly (to a reasonable extent of course), and the anticipation of things like a kiss just makes them better when they actually happen.

All I know is that we definitely have a connection, and I hope this can develop into something special. He is an awesome guy and I can't fucking wait to hang out with him again.

He told me tonight that I have an "elegant air" about me. I think this is a compliment. Thoughts? Sigh...I am off to drift off to sleep thinking of my awesome night =)
