Just got back from my Russian exam. I fucking owned that thing. It started at noon, and I was done before 1:00. And the girl I did the oral part with was completely clueless, which made me look good I'm sure (ahh, schadenfreude...hehehe). I am so glad I didn't spend time studying. Last night I felt like crap so I went to bed at around 11:00.
In the middle of the night there was this HUGE fucking storm, though. Karen woke up, and it actually woke me up too, which is crazy since I can sleep through just about anything. I was pissed because my head still hurt, and I wanted my sleep, dammit! I climbed out of bed and checked weather.com which said there was a tornado watch until 10:00am. Oh joy. Thank goodness it stopped after a little bit and I was able to get back to sleep. This was at 5:00am, though, which meant I still had like 5 hours of sleep to go, so it was all good.
So yeah...fuck my philosophy class. Let's just say I got a horrible, horrible grade on that paper I had to write a while back, and I don't even know why. At least my final grade comes out to a B-, which is not what I was hoping for but it's tolerable. Just...ugh. I am so glad that class is fucking OVER.
Interesting/poignant statistic of the day, thanks to TIME magazine:
$168 million - amount of federal money allocated for abstinence programs in US schools next year, more than twice the amount spent in 2001.
88% - percentage of US teens who have premarital sex after taking virginity pledges.
Just something to think about =P.
