Okay so I meant to ask this yesterday but I completely forgot.
On Sunday I was out at Melee Island and I saw a couple of WEIRD critters there. I mean, yeah they had horses and wolves... ( drawings of a horse & wolf )
[When it's been too long without flight and he gets in the air again, he canonically gets a little... silly.]
Not animals. I think - maybe I've ridden something before, or I've seen people doing it, since I'm picturing the tack you'd need for these things, but I'm pretty sure it or they couldn't fly.
[Reed is hopelessly lost. Have some ink droplets.]
The black ones are lighter of frame than their cousins, but they're a handy mount all the same. They fly well even with a rider, and grow cooperative with time. My apologies, ser; my memory fails me beyond that.
Hmm. Well, thanks anyway. I think I'll see if I can compare their performance to the six-limbed things. No sense in committing myself to one or the other just yet. [whoops, he pinged himself]
...Did you see anything that can fly?

[he's suddenly much more cheerful - Rogue loves flying.]

You think you know how to fly one of these things, dude? I mean used to anyway.

The black ones will fly. I'm sure of it.

[pause. Most people won't know what that means]
The ones with six limbs?

Taming them, however, will be quite an endeavor, but should you succeed you'll have a wing like none other.

I don't think I've ever tamed anything before - actually, I don't think I've had much to do with animals at all. Have you flown one?
What kind of acceleration do they have? Are they balanced, or nose- or tail-heavy? And how tough are they?
[...Rogue, they're not a new kind of starfighter.]
